Our Mission
Our mission is twofold: to provide an accessible and engaging arts festival for our community and to create new opportunities for talented local artists. The festival champions inclusivity, embracing both a diverse range of artists and a wide spectrum of artistic mediums. We aspire to expand this festival to feature more life-size prisms and offer expanded summer-long arts programming to further enrich our community through artistic engagement. The Long Island Public Arts Festival will continue to serve as a platform for innovative approaches to community engagement through arts and culture.

How It All Started
The Long Island Public Arts Festival was founded through a two-year partnership between BACCA (Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts), Harper Bella, and Jose Tutiven, an initiative made possible by Creatives Rebuild New York. The festival was conceived as an accessible opportunity for artists across New York to showcase their work in a novel way, fostering community engagement and enhancing the local landscape. It stands as a vibrant celebration of creativity that transformed Phelps Lane Park in North Babylon, NY into an immersive public arts exhibition.
